MARKETING/ BRANDING/FUNDRAISING: 
The Office of Communications and University Relations:
 
• Wrote the VSU Case for Support after failed efforts by the consultant to capture the spirit of VSU adequately.
 
• Created the layout for the BOV presentation of the Capital Campaign Case for Support.
 
• Rebranded the University homepage, creating a more visually appealing and user-friendly layout that aligns with modern web  
 
 
design principles.
 
• Produced, filmed, and edited a VSU commercial to be played during/throughout the 2024 Richmond Jazz Festival.
 
• Created ads for Richmond Magazine, CIAA, Retool Your  School, HBCU Times, and Richmond Family Magazine.
 
• Provided branding for CIAA.  
 
 
 
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS 
The Office of Communications and University Relations
 
• Increased traffic to the VSU website from 1.8M in 2023 to 2.7M in 2024, a 50% increase.
 
• Provided all the content, layout, design, photos, and graphics to build the VSU Presidential Debate website.
 
• Redesigned the Office of Communications webpage. 
 
• Provided the script for the University’s New Customer Service Training (completion Spr 25).
 
• Wrote and published 58 press releases on the VSU website, many of which garnered local and/or national media attention.
 
• Reimagined the photo strategy during commencement and led the effort to ensure every graduate received a free professional photo  
 
 
within one hour of the ceremony's conclusion.
 
• Reimagined and led the charge to rebrand the VSU Faculty and Staff Opening Conference to foster greater engagement and  
 
 
promote collaboration across departments, elevating the event's impact. This included overseeing the entire orchestration and  
 
 
implementation of the segment, which was repeated due to popular demand.
 
• Implemented a media initiative for the VSU Commencement experience with the addition of the feature graduate video and points of  
 
 
pride video.  Both videos are incorporated within President Abdullah’s live welcome address and serve to connect our audience more  
 
 
vividly to the life and legacy of a select few of our graduates and university accomplishments.  
 
• Created and implemented a new method to commemorate and honor VSU employees who reached milestone years of service with  
 
 
the Commonwealth of Virginia.
